HAAXI

A one of a kind collection of 28 handbags created together with a community of Huichol artisans in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Each handbag has a hand made pompom made by hand with chaquira, giving a unique touch to an everyday accessory.

This collection was part of the brand's collaboration with the Huichol community to further expand their partnership, highlighting a traditional technique with an avant garde design. The word HAAXI comes from the native huichol language and it means "Crocodile", which alludes to the leather pattern of the handbags.

With this collection, Hayet Abdala was able to contribute to the economic development of the Wixárika community, strengthening its commitment to create fashion accessories with a social impact and combining modern design with traditional techniques.
